RDT Fishing Team Recommendations: Why use skirt squids? Well, it depends your reaction style after a hook up. If you stay the course, then the shell style is probably best for you. If you frequently change direction or speed, then without a doubt, the skirt squid is for you. Maneuvers like that cause the skirt to inflate and retract, similar to a fleeing squid. Some Captains (including me) firmly believe that this additional action helps generate additional strikes after the first yellow fin hookup. |
